A Korean-Canadian violinist, Ji In Kim began her violin studies at the age of seven. She received a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from McGill University Schulich School of Music where she studied with Thomas Williams, and received a Master of Music in violin performance at San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Ian Swensen.

She has taken masterclasses with Dénes Zsigmondy, Regis Pasquier, James Ehnes, Chin Kim, Norman Fischer and David Kim. She was a member of the National Academy Orchestra of Canada, Korean Peace Orchestra in Seoul South Korea, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and a concertmistress of the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra.

She currently plays in the Vancouver Island Symphony and the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra.
